Colin half turns, about to start walking away. He opens his mouth as if about to respond when something...happens. Or more accurately, perhaps, something stops happening that shouldn't. He staggers, his knees buckle, and suddenly he's on the floor. He can feel the back of his head bounce painfully off the stone and then he lies motionless, eyes open, bizarrely conscious though unable to move or speak.
Of course, Cyril wasn't expecting that to happen. He rushes forward to try and catch Colin but doesn't make it just in time. Instead, he ends up next to Colin and looks him over for any sign of trauma.
"Colin?" he asks, checking to see if the other man responds. He's already reaching for his crystal to contact Sam. If the healer had been home when Colin had arrived he would have just called him from inside of the house.
There is no response at first. About ten seconds in, Colin starts to blink, and tentatively, to move his fingers. He reaches up to touch the back of his head and check whether there is blood.
"Cyril?" he says breathlessly. He has had a number of odd things happen, but this is alarming to him. "Could you find Anders for me?"
He had thought of Sam first only because Sam was the healer his mind always jumped too, but Anders is just as easy to reach on the crystal so he switches gears and nods.
"Of course. I have my crystal here. I'll call out to him."
By now, Colin is upright and sitting in a chair, elbows on his knees. He glances up at Anders and gives a tiny wave of his hand, looking unhappy and embarrassed.
Cyril lets Anders in and gestures him to where Colin is. He also clasps a hand on Anders' arm as a thank you for getting here so soon and backs off to give the healer space to go to Colin and check him over.
Anders gives Cyril's hand a pat before he comes over to Colin and kneels next to him. There's wounded pride in the young mage's eyes, which Anders counters with a smile.
"I'm going to cast Creation to see if I can find the source," he explains as if Colin's not a mage before doing so. He'd been called for, after all, and he needs to know if this is a third case.
"You have nothing to apologize for," Cyril replies and he offers Colin an encouraging smile to solidify that idea.
"Would you like some privacy? I can let Anders take over from here and give you both some space?" He doesn't want to overhear anything about Colin's health that he might want to keep private.
Cyril's questions are for Colin, but Anders will add one more.
"You hit your head after?" he asks for verification, finding that injury and starting to heal it with ease. As he'd suspected, though, there's nothing else wrong. That makes three, and they're tied together only by being mages and Kinloch Hold.
"Yes. When I fell." Colin gives a sigh of relief as the pain in his head ebbs. He offers Cy a fluttering smile. "That's...if it's safe for me to, Anders and I should go. This is your home."
His smile turns to a frown as well. Sure, his strength had come back, but he hadn't injured his head. Anders lowers his hand once the head wound is dealt with.
"Stand. If you're steady on your feet, we can go. If you're not, we're going to be imposing on Cyril for a time still." While he wants to talk with Colin about the connections, he's not going to put the young man's health at risk for that.
“I feel fine,” Colin says, standing with no problem. The tone is more puzzled than defensive. “I can go. Sorry to p—“ He stops. Revises. “Thank you, Cyril. Sorry about this again.”
"Again, you've nothing to apologize for. What matters most is that you are well," Cyril answers. If Anders thinks it's okay, he won't put up a fuss and insist that Colin stay. As long as he is well enough to walk, Cyril isn't into the idea of forcing someone to stay.

"Exaggerate what happened," he says faintly. "That should make this less embarrassing."

"Hello Anders, my friend. Do you think you can make it to my house? Colin collapsed. I would ask Sam, but he's not home."

And sure enough, he's knocking at Cyril's door not twenty minutes later. "Cyril? It's me."

"Thank you, Cyril," Anders says as he stands. "Lead on, Colin. I'll walk you wherever you're going."
