[ He might be bothered by the topic of his designation, but he's the one that brought it up and neither of them seem to linger on it. ]

I'd debated a glass of wine in the bath, but I owed Rhys a visit. [ Coming to him with wine on his breath likely would have made their reunion worse than it had been. ]

How did the visit go? [He asks gently. He knows that Rhys had worried about Dorain while he slept. They had spent time together to distract one another with friendship.]

Initially... not well.

[ He remembers the complete lack of love he had been greeted with. Dorian's jaw tenses for just a moment and then he brings the tea up to his lips, letting the spice of it play over his tongue and warm him slightly. ]

But it got better.

[samahl]

Oh... [Cyril takes the break to try to tea as well and responds by his eyes widening.]

Oh. That's good.

Uh, I mean the tea. Not that your reunion was less than happy.

[ Dorian chuckles at that, not having misunderstood Cyril at all, but grateful for the clarification nonetheless. ]

I’m glad you like the tea.

The food is one of the best things about this world. I feel like I could eat every minute and still not try everything.

There is an overwhelming variety of food here- I’m amazed we’ve managed to limit ourselves to little treats like these. Not that they aren’t good...

[ He doesn’t have the most diverse diet, but curries have become familiar and somewhat frequent. ]

I wonder if that's why we can't remember this place when we go home? Imagine trying to adjust to living in The Free Marches again after being able to buy chocolate for only a handful of change.

[Chocolate exists in Thedas, but if Cyril wants it back home he has to import it.]

Hah! [ Dorian shakes his head at that. ]

I’m certain that’s not the reason, but you’re The Inquisitor, if you’ve a desire for chocolate I’m confident something could be arranged.

Former Inquisitor, officially. [Cyril points out with a small smirk. Officially, he's returned, even though they both know he's still involved with the fight against Fen'Harel's plans.] Though your point stands. I could have it imported. Varric was able to secure some for Bull while we were still in Skyhold and now he's the viscount. I bet I could get a steady supply, but it will cost much more back home.

You’re right, it would cost some good coin, but Varric could probably pull some strings. And then you have me. [ Dorian chuckles as he motions to himself. ]

I’m certain if you ever visited I could get you a morsel or two.

I do need to visit. There's plenty of interesting things happening in Tevinter, and one of my favorite people there.

Oh, I agree. I’ll have to introduce you to Maevaris.

[ Assuming Cyril hasn’t already met her. Dorian helps himself to some of the snacks and looks his friend over thoughtfully. ]

I would love to. I've had correspondence with her, but I have a feeling she's even more delightful in person.

Oh she is, but she is poor company compared to you.

[ Dorian sips at his tea and his eye twinkle at Cyril over the rim of his cup. ]

[He chuckles.] Considering how highly I know you think of her, I'll take the compliment.

As you should, it was meant as a compliment.

How long have you known her? I know you're old friends but not how old.

[vintsparkler]

Hmm... it’s been years. Not something I think about. Well before I joined the Inquisition, certainly.

[ Dorian idly touches at his lips and mustache in thought. ]

Before you began to work with Alexius?

It was while I was working with Alexius, if I recall.

Was she friends with Felix as well then?

[vintsparkler]

[ Dorian's expression softens considerably, sad and fond in memory of his old friend. ]
