To my knowledge there is nothing to be done. However, I am not familiar with the blueprint of the ship and that likely would be best understood by one with the engineering augment.

[Cyril rubs the back of his neck where his augment is. He feels a little jealous toward the people who had engineering implanted.]

I know a few engineers. Maybe we can coax them into cooking something up.

I would prefer it not be a thought at all until more important matters are handled. Distractions are too easily had here.

[He blinks in surprise but doesn't say anything. He...literally hasn't noticed this.

[He pauses a moment.]

Are you volunteering yourself?

Am I volunteering to give up something for your comfort? If I had something that I could do that with, of course I would.

You don't need to do that. As long as my basic needs are covered then I have no complaints.

You are the type to not complain about having to hunch over to fit into your bed, I'm not sure if that's the metric I want to measure this by. [Said lightly, more of a tease than a serious concern.]

I tend to sleep only rarely.

[He really should sleep a lot more than he does but this is what happens when you don't have someone around to monitor your patterns.]

So I will not require the bed often.

[Cyril's brow lifts, and he blinks once or twice.]


Oh no, that was too easy an opening. I almost feel as if I'm taking advantage of it if I say half of the things that just popped into my mind.

You know someone has been out of the game for a long time when that someone doesn't catch on to what Cyril could be implying.

At least it means Cyril gets cute expressions like this one.]

[He makes an amused sound and reaches out to pat Kolivan's arm.]

Let's just say there are quite a few things you can do in a bed that don't require sleep.

Not in my bed. It is far too small for such intimate activities to be comfortable.

I'll have to work to find a place where we could do such things.... You know, just in case you ever decide to take me up on my offer.

[He reaches out and pats Kolivan's arm and then squeezes that arm a bit, enjoying the muscles.]

[He lifts his arm in confusion. As he does it causes the muscle to flex and Cyril gets to feel that it's as solid as a rock.]

Yes. That is why I mentioned a bed will be difficult to find.

[Cyril is delighted and wonders if Kolivan is doing that on purpose.]

And you won't fit at all in my bed...
